The Council of Canadians

Overview //
The Blue Planet Project is an international effort begun by The Council of Canadians to protect the world's fresh water from the growing threats of trade and privatization.

Project Type //
Website Redesign

Project Specification //
Navigational architecture, graphic design, HTML coding, PHP programming, MySQL database integration and client administration tools.

Challenge //
The Council of Canadians was looking for complete control of their website. They wanted a professional look and feel along with powerful content management solution that would allow them to update their own content on the web at a moments notice.

Solution //
The Blue Planet website is a large multi language website that is dynamically generated from a database. Content is inputted through a secure extranet, directly into the database, thus allowing the Council of Canadians to keep content fresh and active, while not having to do any coding or programming. The administration system provides complete access to the information and control over what is displayed on the website. Because the website is predominantly information-based, the user interface is informative and well designed while providing a fully dynamic solution.
