1. Why do I need a website? //
Typical reasons a company will want to have a website are to: improve corporate image, improve customer service, find new prospects, increase visibility, perform transactions, expand their market, meet their customer expectations, reduce costs, and get up to speed before it is too late.
2. How often should I redesign my website? //
The easy answer is, "more often than you think."
Websites are a process, not a product. You should constantly look for ways to improve your site a tweak here, an update there. And if something isn't working, you need to fix it right away. There's no reason and no excuse to wait.
Even if you think the site is working fine, the Web changes so rapidly in terms of design, technology, bandwidth, audience and many other factors that you simply can't afford to leave well enough alone.
We suggest that you reevaluate your site design every six months. If it's a been a year since you've made major changes to your site, you're past due for an overhaul.
Finally, remember that we're not just talking about changing a few graphics here and there. When you update your site, you need to rethink everything, including content, navigation, graphic design, publishing procedures, the tools you use and even the site's goals and objectives.

If you have chosen the right design company then in most cases the website developer will have most of the answers you might need. A real way to increase your costs is to make constant changes to the development process. Let your designer do what you hired them to and make note of all the changes you would like and submit them at or near the completion of the project. This will provide a smooth design process and make you a vital part of the design process.
If you use these guides to help yourself and your designer, the project will run smoother, take less time, and cost less than if you had not used this information. At Nustorm we have a process in place that saves you time and money.
5. How do people find out about my website? //
The best way for people to find out about your website is to add your URL to your traditional advertising media. Put your address on your business cards, product brochures, magazine, radio, newspaper, and TV advertisements. Put it in all your press releases and in your trade show publications. WWW users use "Search Engines" to find things on the web. We will add you to 10 of the most popular search engines so that people can find your site based on key words.
6. What is an URL? //
An URL is a Uniform Resource Locator. This is the address of a page on the web like http://www.nustorm.com
7. How do I get my own "www.myname.com"? //
This is called a domain name. These names are controlled by InterNIC to be sure there are not duplicates of names. They charge an initial fee to register your domain and an annual fee for you to be able to keep your domain. We can arrange this for you.
8. What does html stand for? //
HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language. This is the language that WWW documents use. It is a transportable language that all browsers on all computers are able to read. HTML has grown since it was first introduced and some of the newer features are not understood by older browsers.
9. What is a scanned-in image? //
If a photograph or drawing must be digitized and processed by us, that is considered a scanned-in image. We will scan in the item, crop it, size it for your website, adjust color, brightness, and contrast as necessary, and store it in JPEG or GIF format for use on the Web.
10. Where does my website reside when we're done with its development? //
A website physically resides on a server when we are done with its development.
11. Why don't I see any changes when you say they've been made? //
Your computer caches (saves) websites that you have downloaded so that if you want to see it again, the computer doesn't have to spend all that time downloading again. On most browsers, there is a Reload or a Refresh button which forces a new download. Bring up the page you want to see, then press "reload" and wait for it to re-download.
12. Who will own the work when the project is complete? //
When the project is done and all parties are satified you the client will own all graphic files except source files which can be made available. Our client extranet will allow you to login and download these files at anytime.
